Grand Valley wins NCWA Duals, Oakland finishes 4th
 
The Oakland University Wrestling Team competed in the NCWA Team Nationals on Saturday in Murfreesboro, TN.
 
Oakland was seeded #6 in the tournament and began the day by beating University of Dayton 47-10. Next up the Grizzlies took out University of Toledo with a score of 39-12. The biggest match of the day came when the Grizzlies wrestled University of Maryland/ Baltimore County, who was the #3 seed in the tournament. OU won 7 of the 11 match-ups to win 28-16.
 
In the semi-finals Oakland University lost to fellow Michigan school and eventual Champions, Grand Valley State University.  The Grizzlies then geared up for the 3rd place match against #4 seed Marion Military Institute. The dual was tied up 21-21 going into the last match-up of the night, as the Grizzlies lost their final bout taking 4th place.  Individual matchups can be found at http://www.ncwa.net/teams?school=144&results=true
 
Their are over 150 teams now in the NCWA, and Oakland and Grand Valley State were among the top 16 teams invited to this years NCWA National Duals.
