Outlook: Muskegon Community College is Michigan's only NJCAA program and they have been one of the top JUCO programs for the past couple decades under coach Ron Gaffner.

This year the Jayhawks should remain as one of the top NJCAA squads with 5 returning National Qualifiers and a solid group of Michigan freshman coming.  There lineup is filled with former Michigan All-State wrestlers and they are two or three deep at many weights, so they should be in a position to build off their 21st place finish in last year's NJCAA Tournament.

Cody Carpenter (125), Tom Webster (133), Cody Groenveld (165), Matt Fetterley (174), and Justin Leanord (197) are all back after making a trip to the National Tournament last year.  In addition to these five, the Jayhawks also bring in a talented group of freshman that includes over 15 All-State wrestlers from Michigan.

Among those 15 there are four State Finalists who could contribute right away.  Jeff Sabin, who was 2nd in Division 4 last year, will look to earn the spot over three other all-staters at 141lbs, while a pair of state runners-up Sean White and Eric Telford will battle it out for the starting spot at 149lbs.

Division 4 State Runner-Up Dominique Walker of Romulus Summitt is the likely candidate for Muskegon at 184lbs and brings a great deal of strength and athleticism to the lineup.

Below is a look at the projected lineup for this year's MCC squad.  Follow them all season long on Michigan Grappler as well as the MCC Website.  They kick their dual meet season off this Friday (Nov 13th) when they host the Muskegon Duals.
