Julia Salata repeats as Junior National Champion
Michigan Women finish 6th overall with six all-americans

7/24 - Team Michigan put together a strong 6th place finish at the
Womens Junior National Championship today behind the efforts of six
All-Americans including Julia Salata who repeated as National
Champion.

Salata won the 146lb title in dominant fashion, winning her pool with two
falls and two-period victory.  The only period Salata surrendered was in
the finals to Demi Strub of Indiana who she beat 1-1, 1-4, 1-0.

Patricia Miranda, Rachel McFarland, Brittany Harvey, Amanda Prough,
and Brenna Ramirez placed Top 8 in their weights as well to earn All-
American status.
