4 Michiganders win USAW Folkstyle National Titles

4/2 - A solid group of Michigan preps traveled to Cedar Falls, IA for the
Asics Folkstyle Nationals.  Four Michigan wrestlers won Folkstyle National
titles, completing the first leg of the USAW Triple Crown.

Returning Triple Crown Winner Freddie Rodriguez stays alive in his quest to
repeat as he was the only Junior Champ for Michigan.  Rodriguez scored a
12-7 win over Marshawn Sharp of Georgia in the 119lb finals.  Three Cadets
won titles as state runners-up Andrew Garcia of DCC and Brian Moran of
Fowlerville won at 152 and 215, respectively, and 2010 State Champ
Anthony Gonzales won it at 125. 

A total of 9 Michigan Cadets and Juniors earned All-American Status, they
are listed below.
