Scouting Report (Fall 09): In terms of athletic ability Cooley has just about everything you look for. He is very explosive and slick on his feet and while he has yet to make the state finals, he has been one of the best wrestlers in this class throughout his career. Last year he lost a great semifinals match to Nick Humes (#11 recruit) in the state semi-finals and this summer he looked good at the Junior Duals, scoring a win over Matt Boggess of Illinois, who was ranked 17th in the country at the time. It would have been nice to see him wrestle in Fargo because the only thing he is lacking is exposure and expierence on the national stage.
