Team Michigan Grappler finishes 5th at AAU MIddle School Duals

4/15 - Last weekend two teams from
Michigan competed at the AAU Middle
School Duals in Iowa.  One of the teams,
which was sponsored by Michigan Grappler,
went 7-1 over the two days of competetion
to finish 5th overall.

Team Michigan Grappler beat Missouri
43-42 in a thriller that required the last
three wrestlers for Team MG to score falls
in order to win the dual and Landon Pelham
(171), Josh Colegrove (189) and Ryan
Prescott (HWT) came through with pins to
send Team Michigan Grappler to the Gold
Medal pool.

In the Championship pool the Michigan squad lost their only dual to Ohio 57-31 but
bounced back with wins over Iowa Gold and finally Kansas in the 5th place match.

10 individuals from Team Michigan Grappler earned All-American status, including four
wrestlers that finished with undefeated records.  Camden Bertucci (90lbs), Alex Martinez
(95lbs), Logan Ritchie (145lbs), and Josh Colegrove (189lbs) went unbeaten on the
weekend.
