Nearfall author Reasbeck making appearance at MYWAY Finals

3/26 - "NearFall" will be making an appearance at the MYWAY State  Championship.  "NearFall" is the fastest selling wrestling novel for kids  and teens in the country.   The author Joe Reasbeck wrestled at the  University of Minnesota and trained for the 1996 Olympics.  Mr. Reasbeck  will be available to sign copies of "NearFall" during the tournament.

MYWAY President Dave Dean commented on the announcement.   "Bringing in the author of "NearFall" is just another example of  how MYWAY is working to expose parents and kids to some of the good  things happening in wrestling.  It's a great book, it's a positive for  the sport and kids really enjoy the story.   When you can  encourage kids to read and promote wrestling at the same  time, that's certainly something MYWAY wants to be part of."

Asked about the tournament, Mr. Reasbeck added, "I'm really looking  forward to attending the MYWAY State Championship.  Everyone knows that  Michigan is one of the best wrestling states in the country, so it'll be great  to see the next generation of stars start to emerge.  MYWAY is an  organization that many other states around the country are emulating, that  in itself demonstrates that MYWAY is class act.  I'm glad to contribute in  some small way to the overall effort."

The MYWAY State Championship will be held at the Jenison Field House on the Michigan State campus.  The event will feature 2200 of the best wrestlers  in Michigan.  Competing athletes qualified from various regional  competitions
around the State.  The event will begin on Friday, March 28th  and will conclude with the Parade of Champions and the finals on Sunday, March  30th.
