Former Jayhawk Wrestler, Anton Hall, Selected to National Junior
College Wrestling Hall of Fame

Anton Hall, a two-time NJCAA finalist and national champion for
Muskegon Community College will be inducted into the National
Junior College Wrestling Hall of Fame on February 25, 2012, at the
NJCAA Wrestling Championships in Rochester, MN.  

Mr. Hall is a graduate of Forrest Hills Northern High School in
Grand Rapids, MI, and was a state champion for Coach Tim
Maczinski.  He then selected Muskegon Community College to
further his education while wrestling for Coach Ron Gaffner. 
During his outstanding career with the Jayhawks, he was a 2-time
Region XII Champion, 2-time NJCAA finalist, and the 2001 National
Champion at 165 lbs.  Anton had a dual meet record of 21-2 and an
overall record of 74-11, the most in school history.  He was an
Academic All-American and selected Muskegon Community College
Student Athlete of the Year in 2001.  After attending Muskegon
Community College, Anton transferred to Michigan State University
to wrestle and complete his education.

Mr. Hall is the son of Julia and Doug Hall.  He and his wife Elizabeth have one son, Issac.  He is currently Project Facilitator at YMCA of Metro Detroit (Classroom Outreach).  In his spare time, Anton is building a wooden boat.
