Scouting Report (Fall 2009): Johnson is very technical and slick for a big guy. He finished 2nd in the state last year and will be a favorite to contend this year as well. He has a good amount of national experience wrestling at the Preseason Nationals last fall and Disney last summer. He doesn't have any huge national wins to his record, however, he has competed well with many top tier guys. Hailing from powerhouse Rockford and being the little brother of EMU wrestler JJ Johnson, it is inevitable that he will be ready to compete in college and should make a good transition.
