Michigan wins Junior Olympics; Schutt named OW


8/9 -  -  The AAU Junior Olympic Games wrapped up in Des
Moines, Iowa last week and Team Michigan Red went undefeated
to win the freestyle competetion.  Team Delaware Blue finished
2nd to Michigan and Michigan White came in 7th overall.

5 wrestlers went undefeated for Team Michigan, including Yale
graduate Andrew Schutt, who was named Outstanding Wrestler for
his 14-0 performance at 140lbs.  Schutt, who was a Senior
National All-American this year, will be attending for the University
of Buffalo in a month as a member of the wrestling team.

Another graduated senior going undefeated was Eastern Michigan
recruit Mike Leholm of Jackson Northwest, who went 15-0 at
135lbs.  LeHolm was undefeated last year in this event as well
and was named outstanding wrestler.

Canton all-stater Brent Winecoff, Leslie state placer Brandon
Fifield, and Roseville;s Doug Zundel round out the undefeated
wrestlers.  11 of the 15 Team Michigan Red wrestlers earned
All-American honors with two or less losses.
