Cadets
Five Michigan cadets advanced to the second day of action and all five of them moved on to the third and final day.  Jacob Schmitt and Adam Coon both made return trips to the finals after winning Greco crowns earlier this week.

Coon continued to roll at 215lbs and is yet to lose a period this weekend in either style.

Schmitt scored a big-time win in his final match to win his pool as he downed Anthony Ashnault of New Jersey in a three period war to return to the 105lb finals.  Ashnault, a New Jersey prep state champ, is ranked 3rd in the country at 103lbs by InterMat.

Josh Pennell finished a match away from returning to the Cadet Finals, however, the St Johns sophomore to-be dropped his final pool match to Mike Labry of Ohio and will now be wrestling for 3rd place at 125lbs.

Two other Michiganders, Zac Hall (98lbs) and Travis Curley (145lbs) placed top 4 in their pools to advance to the All-American rounds on Friday.

Hall dropped a 3-period match to nationally ranked Nathan Tomasello of Ohio, which was his 2nd loss and put him at 4th in his pool.  He will now wrestle for 7th place at 98lbs.

After winning his first four matchtes at 145lbs, Curley dropped his final two to Coleman Hammond of California and Tyler Askey of Georgia to finish 3rd in his pool.  He will wrestle for 5th on Friday.

The Cadet finals will take place at 2:00pm CST this afternoon and will be broadcast live.  You can watch the live feed on our Fargo Coverage Page.

Juniors
After the first day of freestyle action, 7 Michigan Juniors remain alive, including five undefeated wrestlers.  Greco National Champ Freddie Rodriguez remains alive for a double title, however, he moved up to 112lbs after winning in greco at 105lbs.
