Team MYWAY kicks off summer this weekend in Lock Haven

5/12/10 - Many of Michigan’s best High School and Middle School Wrestlers
will board the Team Bus this Friday and head east wearing the Team MYWA
Uniform.

Michigan MYWAY Travel Team Director Ritch Roberts has a stellar lineup of
two High School teams and one of the best Middle School lineups in the
country led by Coaches George Lesko, Frank Robinson, and Jeff Hall.

Roberts returns to his native area of Central Pennsylvania where he competed
as a High School and  College wrestler with a load of Michigan talent ready to
compete in the first ever Lock Haven Spring Brawl on Saturday May 15th. 

The MYWAY High School lineups feature 6 MHSAA Individual State Champions.
Key participants include the likes of Luke Bell (Decatur), Taylor
Simaz (Allegan), Jaylyn Bohl (Allegan), John Rizquallah (Allegan), Nick
Mcdiarmid (Hartland) and Brian Gibbs (Bedford).

The Middle School team will be anchored by top 8th graders such as Dakota
Juarez, Zac Hall, and Garett Stehley.

The action begins at 11:00 am on Saturday with high school MYWA Gold line-up
facing Team Lincoln Highway of Chambersburg, PA and the MYWA Blue squad first matching up with the likes of Mat-Town WC from the Lock Haven area.

The Team MYWA Middle School team will wrestle 5 matches as both
divisions will be a challenge with competition from New Jersey,
Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, and Michigan teams entered.

The Lock Haven Wrestling Program partners for this event as one of
the Border Wars Summer Duals Series of events that will draw over 30
Teams from 6 States for next weekends Midwest Grand Challenge at
MSU. The Lock Haven Coaching Staff will host a free Clinic an hour
before the Saturday tournament starts and everyone anticipates a
great day of competition.
