There was plenty of quality wrestling at the Annual AP Invitational at Grand Haven High School. Comstock Park won the tournament over talented squads in Grand Haven, Northview, Kalamazoo Central, Shelby, and Byron Center. Advancing 4 wrestlers to the finals, the Panthers crowned 2 champions in Nick Ross (103) and John Weldon (125).
Garrett Schaner of Big Rapids, ranked #1 in Division 3 at 145lbs, won the MVW award as he took home the title at 152lbs, winning by fall in the finals over #10 ranked Brandon Bennett of Shelby . Big Rapids crowned 2 more champions in Jordan Graham (160) and Drake Renas (215). They tied Byron Center for most champions, with three a piece. Byron Center's champs were Zach Baumer (119), Nate Zick (135), and Brian Plummer (171).
