CC Weber repeats at Body Bar with FILA Junior title
Salata & Berube earn FILA Cadet All-American honors

5/4 - The future of USA Women's wrestling was on display this
weekend in Colorado Springs at the Body Bar FILA Cadet and
Junior National Championsips.  Three Michiganders came away with
all-american status, including Goodrich senior and female phenom
C.C. Weber, who continued her recent success by
winning the FILA Junior title at 48kg.

Weber cruised through the 48kg chart, going 3-0 and outscoring
her opponents 29-0, including a 5-0, 6-0 win over returning Fargo
all-american Candace Workman of Utah in the finals.

Weber, who came in fresh off her 3rd place US Senior National
performance, has now earned a spot on the Junior World Team and
will compete in Turkey this August.  This marks the 2nd year in a
row that Weber won gold at the Body Bar as she won in the FILA
Cadet division last spring.

Two Michigan women placed in the FILA Cadet division as Julie
Salata of Canton and Sherri Berube of Escanaba finished top 6
in their respective weights.

After winning her pool with a win over Fargo all-american Demi Strub
of Indiana, Salata fell 3-1, 3-0 to Krista Revelle of Kansas in the
65kg finals.

Berube scored a :32 fall in her final match over Alexandria Hollabaugh of Montana to finish 5th at 49kg.
