9 youth grapplers win double titles at Central Regionals in Ohio
5/24 - The USAW Kids Regional National Championships wrapped up in Columbus, Ohio yesterday and a large contingency of Michigan youths made the trip to compete. The Kids divisions of the tournament consisted of Pee-wee, Bantam, Intermediate, Novice, and Schoolboy age divisions, which are the equivalent to 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, and 13-14 years of age.
In the end a total of 14 Michigan wrestlers came home with freestyle regional national championships. The Greco-roman portion of the tournament was going on as well and 12 Michiganders won Greco-Roman titles, including 8 Double Champions who won both the greco-roman and freestyle titles in their respective weight classes.
The double champions from the Central Kids Regional Nationals were Stuart Massa, Daniel Guillen, Lucas McFarland, Kody Ebersole, Milik Dawkins, Logan Vish, Logan Massa, Zac Hall, and Logan Marcicki.
