Michigan squads sweep Grand River Rumble
8/1 - The 2009 Grand River Rumble brought some of the best high school and middle school wrestlers in the Midwest to Lowell last weekend and the host state protected the home turf, as Michigan teams won both divisions.
The High School division finals was an all-Michigan affair as Flat River and Xtreme knocked off tough out-of-state teams in Lifestyle (Illinois) and All-American (Pennslvania) to make the finals. In the finals it was Flat River coming out on top with a 35-18 win. In the Middle School Division Grand Blanc went 6-0 in the 7 team pool, edging All-American to finish 1st. Flat River finished 3rd as well and Michigan Elite was the 3rd highest Michigan team in both divisions. Full results are below and matches can be viewed at the Michigan Grappler Video Page.
