Scouting Report: Jones' 5th place finish at last year's state meet does not tell his whole story. He finished 5th in a stacked weight with both his losses coming in 1-point matches to Top 20 Recruits (#4 Josh Houldsworth, #20 Brent Winecoff). His 4-3 match with Houldsworth in the quarterfinals was by far Houldsworth's closest of the tournament (every other match at least a maj decision). In addition, he trains and competes year round and had a strong 3-2 showing in Fargo last year. He is strong, scrappy, and would be at worst a solid addition to any college room, but he could also have tremendous upside.
