STANDINGS/UPDATES
7/13 - 2008-09 Final Fab 50 Scoresheet - All parents, coaches, and wrestlers are asked to check their scores on the Fab 50 scoresheet and email us to let us know any mistakes that need to be changed. We are giving a one week window to contact us regarding these changes and then the results will become official. Please do not send in new results, only corrections to previously reported results. Check back in the next two weeks for any possible changes to the Standings.
6/8 - FAB 50 SEASON COMPLETE - The 2009 Michigan Grappler Fab 50 season is officially over and Michigan Grappler is asking all wrestlers who wish to be considered for the Fab 50 to send in any unreported results to fab50@michigangrappler.com. The deadline to submit results will be Friday, June 19th. The first week of July Michigan Grappler will release the unofficial final standings and then give a two-week period for any corrections or mistakes to be reported. Following that, the official Fab 50 for 2009 will be released.
3/26 - MUSAW Freestyle/Greco events added for April/May!
9/19 - This year's Fab 50 schedule is now released! Click below to read tentative schedule. Check back frequently as more events will likely be added soon. Tournament Directors interested in including your event should contact us at admin@michigangrappler.com.
RULES:
- Wrestlers in grades 8 and below are eligible. High School wrestlers are NOT eligible for The Fab 50. Grade is based on 2008-09 school year.
- Only Michigan residents are eligible
- Points can be earned by wrestler’s placing in any of the Fab 50 credited events (see event list and scoring system below).
- Only one placing can be used from a single event (for example if someone competes in 2 age groups or weight classes at a tournament and places in both, only one placing can count towards Fab 50.)
- Travel Rule - Wrestler may only accrue a maximum of 50 points from "out of state" events. All tournaments that do not take place in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, or Illinois will be considered "out of state"
- Wrestlers/parents are responsible for reporting results following each event to: fab50@michigangrappler.com If you do not send in results we cannot guarantee that the results will be recorded and your points counted for that event.
- Placing in "novice" or "rookie" divisions of tournaments will not count towards the Fab 50
(For example - The Tulsa Nationals have a "Rookie" Division for wrestlers with 2yrs expierence or
less, placing in that division will not score points in the Fab 50.)

*Note for MUSAW regular season and regional tournaments - Fab 50 points may ONLY be earned in freestyle competetion. If any of these events host greco-roman competetion the wrestler cannot earn fab 50 points from placing in greco.

Note: If a platinum, gold, or silver event awards only the top 4 places, then only those places earn points from that event. Likewise, if an event awards more than 6 places, ONLY the top 6 will earn points.

AWARDS
- The top point getter at the end of the season will be named the Michigan Grappler Youth Wrestler of the Year. He or she will also receive a custom award of some sort, details for award will be released soon.
- The Top 10 point scorers will guarantee themselves a spot in the All Future Youth Dream Team (view last year All Future team). The top 10 will also receive Michigan Grappler prize packages, including free Michigan Grappler T-shirts. Full details on the prize packages will be released soon.
- The Top 50 point scorers will land a spot on the Michigan Grappler Youth Fab 50. All of the Fab 50, including the top 10, will receive custom Fab 50 certificates.

Michigan Grappler "Fab 50" Youth Tournament Series
2008-09
2008-09 marks the second year of the Michigan Grappler
Fab 50 Youth Tournament Series. The series is designed to
combine top in-state tournaments with the most challenging national
tournaments into one schedule where a wrestler can earn points by
placing in each event.
Last year we had nearly 150 entries into the Fab 50 and are
hoping to grow this year. Read below for more details on the Fab
50. This year's Fab 50 will run simiarly to last year's, but we will
be making a few slight changes.
The 1st major change is that this year wrestlers may only earn a maximum of 50 points from out
of state tournaments. Tournaments in Michigan as well as Ohio, Illinois, or Indiana will not count as "out-of-state" tournaments. In addition, there will be some slight scoring changes, read below for more info.
