Mark Hall of Davison wins innagural season of Fab 50!
8/17 - The first ever season of the Michigan Grappler Fab 50 Youth Wrestling Tournament Series has
come and gone and after nearly 150 entries to this year's Fab 50 the one who stands alone the top is
10 year old Mark Hall (pictured) of Davison. Hall, who competes for the CMS Wrestling Club, never
left any doubt all season long as he sat atop the standings all year long, never losing a Fab 50 T
ournament that he competed in.
Finishing in 2nd and 3rd were two other CMS members in Dominic Sutemeister and Nathan Ellis.
Sutemeister finished just 4 points behind Hall. The wrestlers who finished in the Top 10 of the
standings assured themselves spots on the Michigan Grappler "All Future" Youth Dream Team. The
All Future Team will consist of 20 youth wrestlers and the final 10 will be named in the coming weeks.
The Fab 50 winner, along with the All Future Team will be recognized and presented their awards at the BorderWars Folkstyle Nationals on November 1st/2nd in Battle Creek.
The full standings for the Fab 50 will be released this week. Any mistakes or errors in the standings must be reported by Sunday, August 24th at 9:00pm. Please report any mistakes or reported points that were not counted, however, please do not attempt to report new points as all results were to be reported by the June 15th deadline.
The 2nd season of the Fab 50 is already underway as the Lowell Fair BorderWars tournament was the opening event of the Fab 50. Full schedule and details for this year's Fab 50 are currently being worked out and will be available in the coming weeks.
