The #1 and #3 teams in Division 2 stole the show at the 2010 Sparta Inviational. The most entertaining finals match of the night pitted Allegan vs Greenville at 135lbs as returning State Runner-Up Jayln Bohl of Allegan downed 2x Greenville state champ Tyler Keslering 5-4 in the 135lb finals. The team result ended in a similiar fashion as top ranked Allegan edged #3 Greenville.
Bohl took home Most Outstanding Wrestler Award for the tournament with his win over Keselring but was not without competition. Other noteworthy final matches included returning all-state battles at 130lbs wtih Jared Zimmerman (Hudsonville) over Taylor Simaz (Allegan) and John Rizgallah (Allegan) over Jamal Jackson (St Joes) (See full finals results below).
Sophomore state runner-up Jordan Thomas of Greenville won arguably the deepest weight class in the tournament with a major decision over state ranked Colin Smythe of Allegan and placed over three other highly touted wrestlers in Paul Carbone (Hudsonville), Tyler Kaffenberger (Grand Haven), and Mason Blackmer (Lakewood).
